Gallio Tempo is an Italian company that specializes in designing and creating watches with specific designs for specific groups of people. The founder inherited his love for watches from his grandfather who had a massive collection of pocket watches and handed it over to his grandson. Recently, the company has launched a new collection of watches entitled “Trident” that is aimed at people who enjoy adventures and luxury watches.
The Design
The first thing that jumps into mind when you take a look at the Trident collection launched by Gallio Tempo is the design. The Trident collection features a 42 millimeter diameter stainless steel case with sapphire crystals and Swiss Super-LumiNova® pigments which insure a high level of afterglow performance. The rings come in three different colors: silver, green and brown. You can change them according to your outfit so you can wear the watch whenever you want, without having to alter your outfit.
The materials
The next best thing about the Trident collection from Gallio Tempo are the materials that it is made of. The company prides itself with the fact that it uses only high quality products for all the components of the watch so it is no surprise that on top of the stainless steel and sapphire crystal case, it also comes with protection against high temperatures or water.
The case is made from stainless steel and its diameter is 42 millimeters. Stainless steel is recommended because it is highly resistant and durable. This ensures that the watch will last for decades. The dial is made from sapphire crystal because this material is highly resistant to scratches and heavy forces. If you drop it, the sapphire crystal will protect the dial and thus, you won’t have to worry about it not working anymore. Sapphire crystals are used mainly for luxury watches because they are both resistant, as well as elegant.
The Super-LumiNova Technology
The first feature that I must talk about here is the Super-LumiNova Technology which was designed with the purpose of giving the watch a special afterglow performance. It is currently the highest and most well developed technology for this purpose on the market. The materials used for this are resistant to high temperatures and other environmental agents and it is non-radioactive. The special thing about this technology is that it attracts the light and stores it using the same process like a normal battery. After this, it releases it bit by bit throughout the day. This technology does not damage the strap or any of the outside components of the watch.
The Straps and the claps
In keeping with the other components of the watch, the straps are made of high quality materials and provided by iWantAStraps.com. It is made of sailcloth nylon which is a durable material used for sports watches. On top of that, in order to ensure that the straps will not be damaged by daily use, the watch also comes with button deployant claps which are made of solid stainless steel. All you have to do to is push the button and the strap will release itself. It’s much easier to put the watch on or take it off and it is a lot more durable.
Citizen Miyota® 821A Automatic Movement
The last on this list is the Citizen Miyota technology, which is borrowed from a Japanese company. The advantage of this feature is the fact that it is very durable, with little to no chance of delays or stops. The main spring is using a caliber to power through a winding rotor. The rotor is excited by the wrist movement. The advantage of this particular technology is that it is very accurate and it is very durable.
