The innovative red second time hand, the Paraflex shock mechanism and its refined aesthetics are the highlights of this very stylish sports model. At the inside of the watch there is a 3185 Calibre mechanical automatic movement manufactured exclusively by Rolex that includes the trademarked Paraflex balance staff shock protection. This feature is supposed to reduce shocks by 50% over other similar devices used within the industry. Other highlights offered by this high end mechanism are the 24 hours display, the second time zone with independent rapid setting of the hour hand, the paramagnetic blue Parachrom hairspring oscillator and the hacking mechanism for precise time setting.

The Rolex Explorer II Oyster bracelet is easy to recognize due to its flat three piece links manufactured from 904L steel. The stainless steel bracelet is completely polished enhancing the sporty look of the watch. To offer extra comfort and versatility, the band is fitted with the folding Oysterlock safety clasp that has the Easylink 5 mm comfort extension link.
